Emiliano Sala's father dies after heart attack

The father of Emiliano Sala, the Argentine player who was killed in a plane crash in January as he was en route to join new club Cardiff City, has died three months after his son.

Horacio Sala, 58 suffered a heart attack on Friday in his home in Progreso, Argentina, a friend and president of local club San Martin del Progreso, Daniel Ribero, confirmed to local TV station C5N.

"Unfortunately, he felt a sharp pain in his chest in the early hours [of Friday] and suffered a heart attack," Ribero said. "By the time the doctors arrived he had already died. I recently saw him and spoke to him. He seemed to be gradually getting back to his routine. We spoke for half an hour and even told a joke. The news comes as a surprise as Horacio leaves us at 58.

"It leaves another void. We had been in constant contact for a month during the disappearance of the plane and this is very sad news."

Emiliano Sala, 28, died after his plane crashed into the English Channel on Jan. 21 as he was flying from Nantes, France to Wales, after completing a club record £15 million deal transfer to Premier League side Cardiff. His body was recovered from the Piper Malibu aircraft two weeks later near Guernsey.

Cardiff and Nantes are in a dispute over Sala's transfer after the Premier League side refused to make the first scheduled payment for the Argentine.

The Bluebirds argue the agreement struck with Nantes regarding Sala's purchase was not legal as the French club failed to fulfil conditions they set.

FIFA has granted Cardiff City and Nantes extra time to submit full details of the transfer of Sala as the clubs look to schedule face-to-face talks.

American reality star Jordyn Woods says she understood “what it’s like being a black woman, after going through intense bullying following her Tristan/Kardashian saga.

Woods commented on the issues during a panel session with Grace Ladoja at the Homecoming festival in Nigeria which she attended during the long Easter holiday.

Recall that in January, Woods allegedly had an ‘affair’ with Tristan Thompson, the father of Khloe Kardashian’s baby, True.

The scandal put a dent on her relationship with best friend, Kylie Jenner, Khloe’s sister and the Kardashian clan.

Woods denied the rumours on March 1 when she went on Jada Pickett-Smith’s show. However, the social media reactions continued to flood in.

Addressing how she dealt with the bullying, she said she wanted to be an example for her little sister, who had gone through bullying at school.

She said, “My little sister was bullied in school and I wanted to show her that I was bullied by the world. I understood for the first time what it’s like being a black woman—in a just society.

“How we can be so disrespected and nobody can really understand to that extent until you have to live it,” Woods said.

This basically mirrors what she said in her ‘Red Table Talk’ interview back in March. At the time, she said her little sister couldn’t even go to school and her mom could not go to the grocery story because the ridicule was so insane.

She further commented on the issue on Twitter explaining how speaking about bullying in Nigeria was useful to her healing.

Nigerian music superstar, Peter Okoye of the defunct P-Sqaure, also known as Mr. P, has reacted to the claim by Tanzania music star, Diamond Platnumz, that he (Mr P) slept with his wife and crashed his marriage.

Platnumz, during an interview on Tuesday on his Wasafi Radio, had said, “Zari was dating P-Square’s Peter a few months before she and I got our first baby, Latiffah Dangote.

“I read messages that she and Peter sent each other via mobile phone. I even confronted her.”

But responding to the allegations on CoolFM, Mr P said it was “stupid” of the Tanzanian singer to make such utterances.

He said, “To be honest with you, I do not know what they are talking about. I can never, and would never say anything.

“Please, I have a new single, and I do not want to get distracted. I do not want to comment on Diamond’s allegations. In fact, it is stupid.

“Once people discover that you are doing well, the devil just finds a way of rearing its ugly head. Nonetheless, we are friends with Diamond Platnumz; he is my guy.”

Recall that Zari, Platnumz’s wife, had taken to Instagram to rubbish the claims, noting that those who dared believe her ex-husband were just as “stupid” as he was.

She had written, “He alleged that I had a relationship with P-Square’s Peter, and another with my personal trainer… If you guys are going to believe a word that comes from him, the same man who denied his own blood, then you are all stupid just like him.
