Real Madrid midfielder, James Rodriguez, has agreed personal terms with Manchester United.
Diario Gol reports that the Colombia international is so desperate to join the Premier League side.
The player’s future became the subject of speculation, after he was dropped by manager Zinedine Zidane, for this year’s Champions League final in Cardiff.
Rodriguez is determined to leave Madrid this summer and although AC Milan have been exploring the possibility of signing him on a season-long loan with a view to a permanent deal, his mind is set on a move to Old Trafford.
United are however reluctant to meet Madrid president Florentino Perez’s €70million (£61.6m) asking price.
