Dr. Prince Donatus Okonkwo, says he would declared state of emergency against poverty in Anambra State, if elected, the Executive Governor of Anambra State come November 18th 2017 Gubernatorial election.
The APC aspirant stated this in Emmaus House Awka during his declaration to contest the fore coming Governorship election under the platform of All Progress Congress(APC)
The Ojoto, Idemili South Local Government Area born Businessman cum Politician, said he is interested to contest the Governorship election under the ruling party, because he realized there’s need for us as a people in Anambra State to do things differently in order to get the kind of results that we desire and deserve.
My ambition is premised on a strong desire to solve problems and thereby make a difference and represent real change for our people. He further said, according to him, my ambition to steer the ship of our dear state is born of my wealth of experience in the field of human capacity development and financial management.
On his assessment, the multiple award winner and entrepreneurial, said the present administration in the state led by Chief Willie Obiano is nothing to write home about in all the sectors of the state economy, because for the past three and half years of the present administration, Anambra people have suffered untold hardship and they are yawning for positive change.
Dr. Okonkwo, declared further that as much as the burden and problems of Anambra state bestows on his shoulders as the Governor from 2017 to 2021, his administration will leave no stone unturned in critical areas, like: Agriculture, Infrastructure, Economy, Security, Employment, Zero tolerance for corruption, Human Capacity development, Commerce and Industrialization.
Those present at the event include, the state secretary, Mr. Chuma Agufugo, South East Zonal Chairman, Hon. Emma Enukwu, Hon. Obiora Anowia KSC, MNIM, the Director General Prince Okonkwo campaign organization (poco) and all the APC fans and supporters across the 21 Local Government Areas.
