The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a suspected ritualist, Lucien Tosume for being in possession of human skull.
Spokesperson of the Command, Olarinde Famous-Cole said the 45-year-old man was arrested on June 4, 2017 following an intelligence report in Iraye village, Sagamu local government area of Ogun state.
Famous-Cole while addressing newsmen yesterday said the suspect who specialized in the sale of human skull, was accosted by police officers who disguised as buyers.
He said the suspect insisted on selling a skull for N150,000, but the officers convinced him to sell it for N81,000 which he later agreed to.
Following an agreement, Tosume was arrested immediately the money was paid to him.
The Command spokesperson disclosed that the 45-year-old suspect who confessed to the crime said he “sells fresh skulls for up to N1 million.”
He added that investigations were, however, ongoing to ascertain where he got the human parts from.
Famous-Cole further disclosed that the suspect will be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Panti, for further investigation.
